Let There Be Stable Light |

Currently, all the light in the game tends to swing a crazy amount, as seen in the pictures here. It's a very slow pulse, growing, and decreasing many times every hour, swinging between so bright it might as well be daytime, and so dark people are going to have trouble seeing despite there being lights. Would it be middle to get a stable middle-ground?

Mind, this also happens in places outside of Cellsvich, such as Dormeho, and the arena. Even inside player-housing, although light can be a little janky the more light fixtures you have.

[v2.38b] Crafting Shmanual |

The Asago Crafting Manual doesn't appear to double the bonus exp gained from a first time crafting bonus, which I'm not sure if it is a bug or not that it doesn't, but considering it is a donation item I thought it might be at least an oversight
To replicate:
1) Purchase an Asago Crafting Manual
2) Craft an item for the first time

Confusing title, I didn't know how to word it, I also didn't check if a similar thread was made. But maybe add a feature when you click Buy Space at the bank to buy a number of spaces, similar to how buy time works with shopkeepers.

[Sigroganian Guard] A Call to Arms. |

Posted to boards throughout Cellsvich, Dormeho and Tannis are official notices from the Sigroganian Guard, all residing near the bounty board notices, one 'Varen Aryan' has signed at the bottom of each notice, they appear to be a call to most adventurers situated on the continent.
In response to Black Falcon's proceeding threat to the empire, the Imperial Guard has decided to call aid against them in whatever way possible, adventurers who are able bodied and willing to are heavily encouraged to assist us in taking them down, and will be rewarded in doing so.
The Bounty Board lists all known leaders of the organization, barring Arael Schlager they are all known as "Raven Wings" and are to be treated with no mercy, take caution as they are extremely powerful threats and it is recommended to take them one by one, capture or their preferred demise will net bounty hunters a very large sum and acknowledgement of their deeds.
Let it be known that Black Falcon is to be treated with no mercy, and is particularly dangerous. Contributions to the Empire will be acknowledged, and standing with us in defense of our homeland will prevail, we will succeed if all we stand together against this threat.

Upon all the major city-state notice boards rest an official document that denotes a specific effort to be undertaken... It seems to be, based on the quality of paper and emblems, from the Church of Mercala.
Blessed be.
The recent attacks in Sigrogana have affected many, and efforts continue to alleviate the damage that has been done to Sigrogana proper and her people. However, the Peaceful Forest in Sigrogana, just south of Cellsvich, which has served as a significant landmark, seems to sustain the greatest after-effects of the attack. It is through a concerted effort that the Peaceful Forest can return to its once lavish state. Our White Lady has said many times that all forms of life must be appreciated and that they all hold great value, especially the lives of the forest that we take for granted daily. It is through Her good will and wisdom that we seek to reconstitute such a beacon of life.
We of the Church of Mercala seek to aid our ally in this endeavor. Therefore, we are organizing a restoration effort. We will provide the resources and tools, as well as some of our healers and priests who can use Aquamancy and Geomancy to do so. However, we cannot do everything alone. It is imperative that those capable of aid participate as well. This invitation is also extended to travelers and adventurers who also seek to assist. Mages who are experts in Geomancy and Aquamancy are strongly encouraged to assist as well.
Compensation will also be provided.
For any queries, please contact High Priestess Mavis Haemin directly. All correspondence can be sent directly to the Church of Lispool.
Go with Our White Lady's Light.
OOC INFO
GM Slydria's approval was given for this event. At the request of GM Slydria, this event will be held two weeks from now on Friday, February 12th, 2021, at 5 PM EST. It will be held in the Peaceful Cellsvich Forest.
This event will be facilitated by Miller and hosted by me.
The intention of this event is not to make everything grow back miraculously, but establish a more potable slate for the forest to spring back up, as well as improve or otherwise remove the damage on the overworld. This is a pure roleplay event. There will not be any PVE or PVP.
This event is OPEN TO ALL and you do not need to sign up. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on Discord @ Anastasia#0666.

Small Buff to Criticals. |

According to what I've seen from damage calculations guile seems to calculate after armor rather than before. This was after extensive testing with friends. With the nerf to volcanic incoming and vorpal having fallen out of favor due to how unreliable it is. The obvious flex people want would be global fleur, which I have been fervently against. Some classes deserve a fleur equivalent, but not all classes do.
Rather the damage equation should change from.
Swa > Phys DR> Elemental/slash+pierce Res>Armor>Guile+Crit Mod> Evasion + Global/ BonusDR
Which would mean 100 swa with a critical modifer of 150 from weapon and guile vs 50 phys DR and 20 armor which are not difficult numbers for a tank to reach would equate to about:
100 - 50% = 50 - 20 = 30 + 150 critical modifer = 45 damage. That's not taking into account other forms of DR like shields, BK passives, etc. Which take place AFTER the base Phys Res% and Armor are calculated.
Post change the equation would be thus.
Swa >Guile+Crit Mod> Phys DR> Elemental/slash+pierce Res>Armor> Evasion+ Bonus/Global DR
100 + 150 critical modifer = 150 - 50% = 75 - 20 = 55 damage.
The initial damage would be 150 cut down to 75. Then reduced by armor down to 55. Now this is a minor buff for critical hits and basic attackers, but this isn't taking into account higher swa levels, guile gouges, etc. It also wouldn't make cel based builds oppressed by the damage buffs as they tend NOT to build armor so the losses in durability would be minor. But it would lead to healthier tiers of damage vs tankier targets that gouged high armor and physical res.
Also for a more brutal example which is a possible marker to reach with the current equation:
100 - 60% = 40 - 30 = 10 + 150 critical modifer = 15 damage.
With my suggested equation:
100+ 150 critical modifer = 150 - 60% = 60 - 30 = 30 damage.
It wouldn't be a huge buff to damage but it would be a nice one that would give back some damage for the stat investment we make in crit and worst of all guile.
TLDR: It seems guile is calculated after armor and phys res%. Change it so it comes prior not before.
STLDR: Guile<armor +phys res = bad. Guile>armor +phys res% = good.
