  Fresh wind for weapon types

Reasoning: Many weapons feel the sameish. While yes they have a bit different stats, you do basically just whack with it and some weapons are a little shafted in skill variety for what they actually do (Axe being a high crit weapon, yet barely any basic attack skills for it. Dagger a sad lad too.)

Idea:
-Remove Trait "Special Attack"
-Add Trait "Weapons Mastery: XY" (XY being whatever weapon, shield could be one as well.) Only one may be chosen. (by default, mayhaps you can sacrifice another trait for a second weapon, I am not your daddy.)

Weapon Mastery would enhance your Talent tree, similar to ninja, but picking the weapon type you have chosen, adding a few lines of spendable talent points there.

You could fill some "universal" skills in there along the current special attack 1, that work with whatever class with the chosen weapon, some more passive effects, etc. Shapeing the identity of the weapon some more and further increasing versatility. Heck you could make it even so that a dagger Soldier isn't such a sad boy anymore for the Incise usage because he couldn't slot rouge effectively

Double heck, if you wanted to go crazy on it and further enhance our trait/talent usage for more carefully character crafting, you could put better "Universal skills" gated behind tiers of mastery that you buy with trait points.

This one, is a bit of a weird one. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. Even so, it may just be improperly/misleadingly worded but.

Technological Marvel applies to Rogue Skills and passives as well as Engineer ones. I'm not sure if this is intended or not but.

Rogue has 16 Applicable Skills for this across its actives and passives.

That means this skill can become a free eight skill slots atop of what they would normally have via Engineer.

If this is intended, can the description be rewritten to indicate as such? Increases Skill Pool size by 0.5 for every Rogue or Engineer skill equipped.

Or maybe just add a note that says it applies for Rogue Skills too.

  A new VA skill

So, if you want to play a void mage VA you don't actually have a whole lot of support within your own class. Dark spells that deal decent direct damage are few and far between, and dark is a very commonly resisted element. Within VA specifically, Black Bolt is not really a spammable spell as you want to build up your void energy to get the most out of it. On the other hand, Detogate has good scaling but takes 6m to use if you want to do it in one turn. Outside of that, the rest of your class just offers you utility, but nothing to do if someone just walls you with dark resistance. I guess there's fray too, but that's not reliable in any sense of the word.

Considering Verglas got a means to deal with this in the form of Winter's Bite, my suggestion is a skill similar to that, but with a caveat or two...

Null and Void
Targets 2 locations. In both locations there must be an active voidgate. Both of the voidgates pull units and field objects around them within a 3 tile radius in, then objects at the voidgate in L1 are teleported to a random tile within 3 tiles of the voidgate at L2 and vice versa. If you have at least 30 Void Energy available, it is consumed and all enemy units that entered your voidgates because of this skill have their Dark resistance negated for 3 rounds.


Rather than just a clone of winter's bite, I figure that void gates themselves could use more things that interact with them from VA. As a means of mobility they're okay, but I don't often see that used as people tend to have better mobility options. This way, void gates become a more potent threat and can also serve as a means for your dark spells to hit harder.

The final report. For now. A two parter at that. Since both are related seemingly to Sync Mind overall. I can make them individual threads if you wish.

Sync Mind is carrying over some passives when you use Contract Uno/Tres. Installing is also allowing certain things with it to count for the inclusion of their unique numerical based benefits. Sync Mind is also functioning weirdly with Daisangen.


First. Certain Passives are carrying over through Contract Uno/Tres if you have Shapeshifter equipped. I don't know what on Shapeshifter is causing it, but it's the sole fact it was equipped considering I only had Grow Appendage at Level 1 and Plant Rejuv as my allocated skills.

As is seen here, I had Orbello with Contract Uno and Grow Appendage/Plant Rejuv. No innates. No passives. Fresh Class. Destiny Summoner. Bonder Main, Shapeshifter Sub.

I also have every Youkai in the game on my contract list, although they were properly unable to be summoned nor displayed their skills in my skills or magic list.

Yet, I have seen the following (just easy to determine rather than overall conclusive) apply to me while I had Contract Uno/Tres on:

Snowfall (From Snow Crow)
Fortune Feather (From Apus)
Ghost Sea's Burn Immunity (From Drowned Woman's Passive)
Asrai, Wawa, and Izabe's Fairy Ring Status resistance bonuses.
Regrowth (From Jack O' Lantern)
Snowshoes (From Yukionna)

There's probably others but worth looking into.

With Contract Uno or even Contract Tres, so long as you have obtained them in general on your contracts list, even if not active, then you still get the buff gained. This seems to stand true if you utilize something such as a Vorso Verso to get them on the side and just not have the FAI to have them be active on your contracts list.

However, due to the wording, I can't confirm or deny if this is a bug so i'll leave that to your judgement. Similarly.

This seems to also be applying to 777 from Carbuncle. In the same exact way. If you have seven youkai total on your contracts list, even if you can't utilize them, then you can install Carbuncle to get the effect. I'm unsure if this also is intended or not.

However, just like my Parted Pain Thread, this also applies to any youkai that meets the pink name/bonded friendship requirement and criteria. Which means we combo this.

A few bugs to mention here. But i'll start with Parted Pain.

Parted Pain should only work on Bonded Youkai, you see. As per the Spiritual Bond Innate Clause.

Yet, you can force it to function on anything that has the required amount of friendship to have a pink name, or to be considered bonded by friendship terms. Which means, I can normal summon or Summon Storm into this.

  Rangchor Edge [v2.30]

Super simple bug report.

When offhanded, Anchor Edge adds the range of your main hand weapon towards the unique pull effect it has. That means it strikes the whole range then pulls the whole range.

Which means, with a mainhand weapon that has 6 range (on the stat screen, meaning it only counts for base range + weapon part modifiers), you get something like this.

This is because it's just Main Hand Weapon Range +  UL/12 rather than Anchor Edge Range + UL/12.
