  Popout battle map lag
Posted by: Ryuzaki - 06-17-2019, 07:26 PM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (1)

So, it seems that one major cause of combat lag for those of us with not the best of network speeds seems to be the way fight maps function now (how they pop out of the screen leaving the game world visible behind, rather than create a new map like they did before these were implemented.)

Evidence to support this would be the fact that fighting in Giant BDPs, or the arena, which either use large versions of the old map system, or the arena's custom map seems to prevent this lag from happening.

Suggestions for a quick fix would either be further optimization of the new combat maps, or a toggle in preference between the new combat map style, and the old one. PvE/PvP is basically undoable at this point for some of us.

  [v2.05b] Broken Aegis
Posted by: Noxid - 06-17-2019, 09:13 AM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (1)

Astral Aegis does not seem to be functioning. When summoning a youkai I am not getting the +5 def/res bonus. I tested this with both a manual summon and auto summon.

  [Event] Festival Invitation (29/06/2019)
Posted by: Jupiter_Storm - 06-16-2019, 06:13 PM - Forum: Kysei - Replies (4)

Date: Saturday 29th June ... Time: 18:00 EST (Start) - Late (Finish)

The following flyer would be pinned to noticeboards throughout the world of Sigrogana - not exclusively Kysei - by peasant militiamen bearing a red livery displaying the insignia of a golden, rampant lion. Certain adventurers would recognise this symbolism to denote the House of Hamilton, from a small, rustic region of Southern Kysei known as the Moors.

To expand upon the flyer itself, this would of course be a 100% PUBLIC event, open to all comers from the community regardless of whether you have had any involvement with the previous story arc associated with this place or not. The Summer Solstice holds particular significance for ancient, heathen cultures, as it represents the apex of a battle between gods of light and dark - and it is during this time that many people will look inwardly at the battle between light and dark within themselves. For me, there is no better way to celebrate a time of great personal change than to share the fruits of one's labours with all, to set aside past enmities and start fresh. The cheesy stuff aside, attractions include...
  • Opening Blessings: A brief 15-30 minute (dependent) prayer to the Goddess of Life (yes, we do mean Mercala) and the elemental spirits of Sigrogana for balance, happiness and stability in the years to come. An open platform will be given for others who wish to speak their minds - followed by best wishes to all would-be Champions; then let the festivities commence!
  • Tournament of Champions: An unranked, un-tiered 'Deathmatch' style competition involving teams of two competing against one another, with a set of rules unique to a rustic, knightly culture and prizes to be awarded to the best 'Paladin', 'Fighter', 'Wizard' and 'Ranger', true to the spirit of the previous Moor-centered adventures. A final prize will be awarded to the most chivalrous combatant - for which one does not necessarily need to win battles to achieve. (Details in post to follow).

  • Ciara the Soothsayer: The gifted Leah will be providing actual, bona-fide tarot readings (or whatever else she chooses to use) for characters through her own Moors character, Ciara. She may or may not ask for murai in return - the price differs per person, or so I am told, depending on the nature of the question.
  • Drinking, Dancing and Feasting: Both the Lamb & Lion Tavern and the Festival Tree are situated south of the Tournament Grounds, and make excellent spots for getting piss-drunk, playing music or enjoying a bit of romantic dancing. The latter will be properly organized following the tournament's conclusion.

# HIRING NOTICE: Please contact me at Jupiter Storm#4324 if you have a Maid, Bartender, Chef or Bard character that you would be willing to hire out for this event in exchange for Asagorians. (Be sure you're prepared for (and enthusiastic about) multiple-player interaction - If I get too many offers I'll have to choose!)
  • Trader's Market: Courtesy of Stella Trading, several stalls will be set up around the main 'village' area for the buying and selling (and enchantment) of rare items / mods / kits at discounted prices.
  • Explore the Moor: The entire event space (which constitutes several provinces of the Southern Moors) will be open for all to explore, and roleplay in (be sure to clean up afterwards). There will be various signs posted in certain areas to give a better description, or provide immersion - though for obvious reasons there will nothing 'spectacular' happening there during THIS event.

# FOLLOWING THIS EVENT - The Moors will be open 24 hours a day (except during construction periods) to be used as desired. An announcement will be made about this at the Festival too, but my own involvement with what comes after will include the hosting of 'Weekend Warrior' style adventure sessions, using a d20 system with character profiles. (Dev Approved)

# TOURNAMENT SIGN-UPS - Rules and Prizes will be posted later, but for now, you may enlist either ALONE (to be paired with another character randomly) or as a TEAM. Maximum number of competitors will be 16, additional sign-ups will be added to Reserves, able to fight depending on time constraints or if others are a no-show. Sign-ups will CLOSE on the 28th June.

# WHERE DO I GO? - Although this area is ICly within Kysei - I have a personal aversion to Chataran houses (due to their appearance and accessibility), so the actual building is in ALSTALSIA - the bottom-right Fort above the Asago Building. If lost, a dutiful Yeomanry Soldier will be present at the Mage Guild to provide guidance on the day.

  Immobilized Pulling Shot
Posted by: Raigen.Convict - 06-16-2019, 04:23 PM - Forum: Balance Fu - Replies (2)

So, Pulling shot from Archer says only moves that decrease move will allow it to knock down with rank 4 or more dynamic shooting. I feel like this should be expanded just a tad to include immobilize. It makes sense to me that being immobilized would allow you to be easier to pull off your feet. But that's just me.

  Checkma--- Knocked down?!
Posted by: firebird496 - 06-15-2019, 02:36 PM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (2)

If you use charge>bash with flatfoot and knock them down, they are not flatfooted for checkmate. I'm hoping this is a bug, otherwise half of the time we try to checkmate we'll fail because they get knocked down instead.

  the EXP Solution?
Posted by: Kiranis - 06-15-2019, 05:14 AM - Forum: Suggestions - Replies (2)

so with news the dupe enemies glitch is being patched out and that exp gains might e nerfed as well

i'm gonna preemptively ask for more dungeon spawns to balance it out

See the way I'm thinking is that people do the dupe glitch because they want full clear exp. and the glitch would not be so massively abused if there were more dungeons to choose from

Let's face it almost no one uses the static dungeons as most people want cores cores as good and fun

if there are more places to go to then there is more total exp it just means clearing a different dungeon to get it

While 'm here 'm also gonna ask about a daily dungeon.

it's only floor is a core floor no monsters just a boss

An uber boss with super buffed stats you get full clear exp every time but its a tough fight

Alternitivly it could be a tower for boss cores where you can just freely challange an uber buffed version of every boss once a day for a core drop and full clear exp. idk

Sorry if this post is ramlbing im terrible at writing things.

  Cut Up (v.2.05b)
Posted by: Fern - 06-14-2019, 07:49 AM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (1)

Skill: Cut Down
Class: Ghost

Problem: The skill states that it may inflict a status that reduces Phys and Magic defense by LV%. Currently, this only applies to the Phys part of the deal. It gives the target more magic reduction instead of decreasing it.

Steps to reproduction:
1. Inflict Claret Call on an enemy.
2. Use Cut Down.
3. Use magic damage and notice how it does less in comparison to when the target has no Cut Down status.

Tested in PvP with an Apertaurus against a Vampire.

  [v2.05b] Adrenaline Failure
Posted by: Lonestar - 06-13-2019, 04:40 AM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (5)

I'm not sure if it's a problem with poison in general, but it was tested against a Wyverntouched with 25 SAN that taking poison damage is not giving the "Resist!" alert at all. The damage is, I believe, being reduced but without the alert.

Caravan Shops refuse to exist. Still.
Posted by: Tamaki-Kun - 06-13-2019, 01:19 AM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (3)

So I recall a while ago that Dev mentioned caravan shops(i.e. Darkwood, Fashionable, Statue, Sign, furniture shops) are always somewhere in Sigrogana.

That is not the case. I, and many other builders, have engaged in the hunt for these rare shops, traversing and going forward and back and then forward and back between Cellsvich, Tannis, and Dormeho so many times already.

I wasn't sure whether to put this in Suggestions or Bug Report, but since Dev mentioned(see first sentence), I decided to put in bug report. But as a minor thing, can we please have these shops available to us all the time. Or at least let us craft their stuff.

It's incredibly aggravating as a builder to wait hours just hoping the things come by, only to be greeted by the statue shop. It hurts, Dev. It really hurts.

Please save us.
