Change confusing 'Nature' magic category |

Perhaps this is a relic of the past in some regard, but Electric and Sound magic's grouped category of Nature is incredibly confusing. When you think of Nature in fiction you generally think of the likes of plants, earth, and poison, none of which are actually part of the Nature magic category.
If sound and electricity are to remain together, then wouldn't it make more sense just to call it Thunder magic seeing as electricity and sound are the two primary features of a thunderstorm?

Negative Traits |

Traits can be an important mechanic in battle in many ways, though as of late we've had an increase in Traits were their purpose lies more in their roleplaying value than their mechanical value (Madness Mantra, Quiet Person, Merciful Soul, etc).
With that in mind, I'd like to propose the addition of traits were their mechanical effects are purely negative in nature to reflect flaws or weaknesses in a character.
Here's some examples of what I mean;
---
Trauma (Injury)
This character has been horrifically injured in the past and reminders of that pain bring their mind back to the horror of that time. If this character is hit by an attack of a chosen damage type (Blunt, Pierce, Slash, Elements, Null, Sound, etc) they're afflicted with Fear for 1 round.
Crippled Leg
This character has suffered a grievous leg injury in the past, reducing their movement by one.
Masochist
Some sort of complex drives this character to seek pain, reducing the effectiveness of healing effects by 25% but causing them to recover 5FP everytime they take damage.
---
Stuff like this really helps to reinforce IC through mechanics and leads to a better RP environment.

Subscription Incentive: Multiple Images |

There was discussion of possible SL2 subscriptions and what incentives it should have, so I'm gonna relay an idea here that I mentioned on Discord
Give subscribers the ability to use multiple images on their profiles, maybe different images based on which page number they're viewing, or based on which tab is open (Desc, History, OOC).
I feel this is a feature a huge amount of the playerbase would appreciate and the money from the sub should easily outway the cost of the small increase in server storage required, though I don't think anyone will be too hurt if it's limited to something like 3. I doubt anyone will be too heartbroken if they're deleted when their sub runs out either, all they have to do is reupload the images again in future.

Add a Custom Option to Profile Picture Background |

The texture used on empty/transparent profile images in-game is actually pretty nice, however the colour and giant question mark are a bit obtrusive; if the question mark could be reviewed and the background recoloured that'd be pretty nice.
Or maybe alternatively just allow the usage of plain/gradient colour as a background for profile images as well.

Naga wrap bug? |

Not sure if this is a bug or I am not doing something right, but the Violent Snake trait doesn't work the way it is described in that it is supposed to raise the FP cost but also knock down mobs that have been restrained.
How to recreate:
Grab the Violent Snake trait, use wrap twice or restrain then wrap, note that it is free and doesn't knock down the target.
Again, not sure if I just misunderstood or am doing something wrong.

Two hands are better than one |

The Two-Handed talent is leveraged wherever possible to stack % bonuses on top of % bonuses to unreasonable effect. One major component of all of the recent heartache associated with Duelists is their ability to use this talent alongside other multipliers like Bloody Palms, Crits, and (to a lesser extent) Absolute Death to extreme effect.
I recommend removing the component of Two-Hand: Full Swing that reads, "Doubled for weapons that have 20 Weight or more." This will leave the bonus at 10% SWA in all cases.
Losing a hand slot item is often not considered a detriment, with the level of power offered from Bloody Palms, Chimera Bands, and another %resist material. One can argue that Bloody Palms plays just as much of a role in this issue, and I wouldn't disagree. However, keeping the threads aligned on one topic at a time is more sensible -- so I'll leave that conversation for another time.

A lantern to negate the chill! |

With the addition of Frozen which can end up annihilating those without Strength (Struggle), or potions to reduce the duration of the effect, Dodge builds have a new nightmare to deal with. Sure there are some ways to reduce the effect or duration of the status but how about a prevention?
Experimenting with the gentle embers synergy for Lantern Bearers I noticed Fenrir doesn't have that great of a status negation, it prevents Celsius from being applied to you, but there are already plenty of ways for Celsius to be countered, such as Charge, Shukuchi, or really any fixed tile movement skill. Celsius isn't really a huge issue to deal with when compared to Frozen that not only removes evade entirely but makes the only viable means of movement two skills that I've seen so far; Blink, and Crescent rook.
As such I would like to propose that Fenrir (Gentle Embers) give a Frozen status-immunity as opposed to the Celsius Status-immunity. However, leave Fenrir (Offensive) As it is with only dealing Celsius, as to not make Lantern bearers end-all Freeze masters.

Blades of the Promised Land
The Blades of the Promised Land is an officially recognized adventurer's guild in Sigrogana.
They take requests in exchange for rewards, requests being all sorts of work such as defeating a horde of monsters that threaten your village or finding out where your grandfather had put his secret treasure chest.
Cavaliers handle mainly combat scenarios and manual labor while Investigators handle things that require heavy thought or proper investigative skills.
Guild Girls are the ones that keep track of quests to every bit of detailĀ and interact with those who wish to submit quests.
The Blades shall assist you however they can!

OOC NOTES:
If you wish to contact the leader of the Blades, send a message over to:

So after been witness to a fight in Cellsvich that ended with the guards 3v1 the attacker (WAIT this isn't a guard salt thread! Don't close your tab!) it got me thinking. The victim of this attack was an ugly (and probably smelly) carapaced lich. He could very much be described as a walking monster. Now let me be clear I'm not singling out the player or his character saying they are bad (I actually think it's a pretty cool character) I am just using them as an example of something that has always seemed a bit odd to me.
Isn't it weird that we have all these monstrous looking liches, shaitans and dullahans walking around in Cellsvich common areas? With no attempt at hiding their nature. At least from an in character perspective this is very odd. Now I understand many player characters are cool and unfazed by anything, but think of the common folk, the NPCs! Would they be comfortable seeing them walking around? Keep in mind it was not that long ago that Cellsvich was under attack be horrid creatures of darkness. Yes I know that these player characters had nothing to do with it, but what would the average non katana wielding citizen think? If you think this a ridiculous thing to bring up I remind you of Kronos (bless his soul). He was fooling around with a mask of the night lord, turning into monsters. He was arrested and then executed (okay so he had a record. This doesn't change my point!) for potentially/actually causing a panic. So this does have some legal precedence.
So what should be done about it you ask? I propose BAN these "people" from the public areas if the city, so our children will can sleep soundly at night, free of nightmares! Would this cover all people of the races I mentioned? Obviously not, liches who wear hooded robes for example would not really stand out. Most shaitans look normal except for their hands and if a dullahan just looks like a man in armour no one would bat an eyelid. Of course all of this would be down to the guards discretion these things aren't black and white after all. This might even be able to be applied to other races too, it all depends on the playby after all.
Anyway with my wall of text now over I'm interested in what everyone else thinks of the topic. Thank you for reading.
