Blades of the Promised Land - Requests! |

Posters of white paper are scattered across the land, including an emblem at the top!
The Blades of the Promised Land is an officially recognized adventurer's guild in Sigrogana. We are capable of taking up many requests in exchange for monetary rewards, while of course keeping our morals and the law in mind.
This is mainly public instructions on how to put up a request for the guild to handle:
1. Head to the reception located in the headquarters in Cellsvich, southwest of the square.
2. Consult a guild girl/boy about the request you want to make, and the reward you wish to provide if it's fulfilled.
We do many things, indeed, from collecting materials for your convenience to saving a whole village from catastrophe if necessary.
Our Cavaliers are capable of dealing with quests that require fierce combat, and our Inspectors are able to deal with jobs that require research, so don't be afraid to ask! The worst that can likely happen is your request being denied if it's actually something we cannot handle.
Safe travels, friend.

OOC NOTES:
If a guild boy/girl is not present at the reception and you need one, here's a Discord list:
Deja Vu#8740
Kayle#1777
Hoot#1195
Dezark#9013
Just add one of them (or all) and drop a message- if they are available they will hop on.

Excel-lent Enchantments |

Excel weapons are a curious beast as far as their usage is concerned; on their own they're blatantly worse than their standard equivalents due to their more punishing scaling and a single usage of the 3M Charge Weapon on a 75% scaling excel weapon will only grant a 75% damage increase over their 100% equivalents. (100 Vs (75 + 50% = 107.5))
The saving grace of this however has always been two items which can give a semi-reliable free charge point; the Shock Collar + Conversion Gloves combo. However, sacrificing both the off-hand AND an accessory slot is a pretty steep price to pay for at least one slightly amped attack per turn, so...
How about we make the conversion effect an off-hand enchantment instead? By doing this, a far greater build variety is made available to Excel Weapon users as they can now freely use gloves and shields to synergize with their chosen playstyle (The previous loss of shields generally gave Excel fighters a dodge build bias) and makes the weapons far more accessible as a whole.
As for the existing gloves, they could possibly be reworked to extend weapon charge duration instead or something to that effect, as allowing 2 weapon charge procs per turn for free might be a little too powerful.

General Opinion: The Blades of the Promised Land |

I am curious about somthing, and as I heard that they dont only operate in sigroganian soil, I thought I would ask for what peoples' opinions on the Blades are.
What do you think earns them their government sanction to do as they currently do?
Do you think their existance might affect relations with, say, Oniga?
Do you think their existance affects businesses?
What do you think their relationship with the guard is like?
Do you think the secrecy of their operations has a place, despite being so public as an organization?
Do you think they are competent?
I suppose most importantly,
Would you say that they are just? or corrupt?

Hanging possible oversight |

So in preperation for possibly making a bunch of suggestion/bug posts in the future, I was looking through some old notepads of mine. One of which was from the great reckoning beta, ages ago.
One of the things I had listed was:" Hanging lowers hit instead of raises it at range." I decided to look into it further today, years later.
So what I found out is: Hanging is affected by the farshot penalty. Which is a lot higher than the hit bonus, unless you have some guile. Which many black knights do not.
As a result, Hanging often lowers your total hit, over tiles. Instead of increasing it.
(Note that these pictures are from hanging level 1, to show the most radical difference possible. Generally the hit subtraction will be around 3 or 4 per tile, because rank 5 hanging is +5 hit per tile, where as the rank 1 hanging is only +1 hit per tile. )

How to replicate:
Obtain hanging on a black knight who doesn't have much guile. Check your hit% from melee range. Then check it from beyond melee range. It will likely be smaller, per tile. Than higher as intended.
This seems like an oversight more than an actual bug, however. My personal recommendation would be to make hanging ignore the farshot penalty. but if that's impossible, you could just raise the hit boost slightly.
Another note is: Hanging seemed to always hit behind my character when it was used against me. Causing eviter and checkmate to never trigger, as well as putting them in prime range to cuthroat me. I'm not sure if the direction you face matters for hanging, or if I was just one to the tenth power unlucky for it to always hit behind me. But, an enemy who is 3 tiles away, and facing me, is able to use hanging. and instead of appearing in front of , or to the sides. He takes the furthest possible route, and attacks behind me. Which stops any checkmate or eviter chance.
Seems unreasonable that it would target he furthest tile next to them, 4 times in a row. So i'm not sure what's up with that.

Watchful eye possibly not working? |

So for me at least, the soldier skill watchful eye doesn't work on most things. You have to be facing them to start with. But if they use moves such as sidecut, attacks that move them. Watchful eye doesn't keep track. I never found somebody to test with crane hop or winged serpent. But it seems that for sidecut and silcut and the like, watchful eye does not track them.
I'm unsure if this is or is not intentional, since it says some movement skills, not all. But if it only tracks movement from people you're facing, it seems a little narrow for a 3m skill. Its only use is for cobra as a result, and even then its very niche.
(Wouldn't mind seeing a hit bonus on it against the focused target or something.)

Protect skill not working |

The soldier passive toggle skill "Protect." Isn't working against special moves.
I tested for awhile with another player, as well as taking in feedback from many players who had similar issues in the past.
I had a shield equipped. But sidecut wouldn't ever trigger protect to activate. Though basic attacks did.
How to replicate:
Be a soldier or promoted soldier class.
Have a shield equipped.
Have protect active.
Be next to an ally or summon.
Have an enemy use sidecut against them.
Notice as protect never activates.

Power Degradiation |

Power Gradiation's usefulness has died down over time, what not with most weapons being able to interchange magical and physical damage on the fly, hell, swords just got a new skill in duelist that also does magic damage.
The only reason its not useful imo right now is because it costs 4m, it only fits into a vent petale build this way given that its a basic attack, I'd love to see it receive the same treatment as most 4m relics from pre-GR do, and cost 3m with a cooldown instead, a small change like this would help put in line with the rest of the sword basics on Duelist's bar, duelist SP is so tight nowadays and Power Grad's FP cost is really high unless you can max it anyway.
So here's what I think, Power Gradiation should be changed to a 3m cost, but receive a 2 or 3 turn cooldown, I think this would suffice.

Thy words are null and void |

Its not technically a bug but its a really annoying issue, nulls can cleanse off the "Invoking" status, most nulls in the game are 3m while invocations are at minimum 6m, this seems hardly fair and not even really thematic really.
I think like food/prayer buffs, Invoking should be an un-nullable status, cause as long as you have access to little rocks in your pocket, everyone has a null now.
