  [2.98 test server] Abyssacred Prison

Abyssal Prison has the in-battle description and damage text of Sacred Prism. It otherwise functions as intended.

  [2.96b] Offensive Shells

Swapping Shells counts as an offensive action for the purposes of Earthbound Vengeance.

This is a report in the same vain as the "Shift Weapon" skills for the Artificer tomes.

[v2.97b] Clicking on Skills wipe Chat.
Posted by: Skullcatrons - 04-23-2025, 02:34 AM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (5)

Wherever you click on a skill that popped into chat-box, it wipes the entire chat history right there and present you new entry screen as well giving you description of the skill.

Reproduction:

Simply click on any skills used in combat.

It will wipe the chat-log.

  [2.97b] Discord Pings
Posted by: Rendar - 04-20-2025, 03:05 AM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (1)

Pings using the new system do not respect any X-Y shifts that you have for your current outfit.  (Placing things very, very, strangely). It MIGHT just be they don't respect size changes. Who knows.

They also have the oddity that you're always, ALWAYS, facing south.

  [Korvara] Gamekeeper - Lore/Origin Request
Posted by: Jenneral - 04-20-2025, 02:56 AM - Forum: Approved Characters - Replies (1)

Applicable BYOND Key - AJenn
Character Name - Gertrude
Request Type - Character History/Lore

Request Details - I want to make a character with lore tied to Telegrad's early ages and might be introducing a lore group in the process

Specific Request - This might meddle with Telegrad's already existing lore, as I'm still trying to read and make sense of it's timeline to slot it in. But this has most to do with the beast attacks and the nation repelling them into the outskirts. As well as introducing an established group related to this side of lore.

HISTORY
In the beginning of the lush lands of Telegrad there were bounties and riches aplenty. They were up for the taking, and ripe for the harvest. But the villagers of old had a tale around the time of the shipwreck, written in their logs. The story of those who live among the beasts and monsters in harmony.

This is a group of druids (yes) living with the native beasts prior the expansion of the Federation. They follow their way of living acting as a mix of human and beast, and they are more preferential to the woodland creatures than they are to people. Although they enrich their packs' lives with human knowledge, tool and druid magic. Their main principle is obscurity, keeping away from Man's conflict and sticking to their territory. They operate by disguising themselves among the beasts when in plain sight and only intervening in certain exceptions, basically being observers of the land.

Initially willing of sharing the land and it's resources with the castaways, this would change as the government was established and the  Federation expanded and more of the forest were taken, either as farmlands or hunting grounds, in preparation against the 'west'.

They fought against the villagers unbeknownst to them as it was assumed to be a monster raid, and suffered defeat by the first rider Cincaid Morris. And they were practically ousted from their native lands under the current of human progress. Their battle raged on, knocking on the federation's walls until the final clash with their archenemy who defeated them before. Out of respect, he kept their secret to his grave as one of few who became aware of their existence while he was promised that Telegrad shall not suffer their wrath once more.

And so they made a pact with the duke in secrecy. An allotted land for them in the woods that won't be trespassed along with shipment of food, and they will stay their hands out of whatever may happen in the nation. Instead they became the Gamekeepers of the woods, and along with them their dark beasts will be kept in check. That was until the promise and their existence was forgotten.

WHAT ABOUT NOW?
People including the upper families have pretty much forgotten about the Gamekeepers and their oath, and the tradition of offering food to them had been long abandoned. The Gamekeepers themselves had faded to obscurity, most scattered or turned feral. And their homes once again cut down in size. But there's an unusual tale arose instead. A tale shared by old hunters, that if you go too far in the woods, overstayed your trip and have hunted too many animals. They may appear, according to their role namesake.

The Character
My character is one of the current times Gamekeepers who kept to herself but was also watching the happenings in Telegrad. Taught to love the hunt, and respect their sanctity. She would single out people she deems as 'Poachers' and ambush them. She keep to heart the old promise her people had with the townspeople and have a twisted and ironic feeling towards them. For both the unassuming villagers, and the everchanging dukes and duchesses.

Reason for Request
I want to start something up lmao. But reasonably this shouldn't be involving EM events and more based on IC encounters, and more character based rather than an entire eventline about the group itself. I wrote the lore because it's just cool and I hope it adds more to the IC interpretation

Change Invisible Weapon from Evade Down to Hit Buff
Posted by: Fern - 04-19-2025, 11:40 PM - Forum: Balance Fu - Replies (6)

Spellthief's Invislble Weapon is very hard to use because it's 3 rounds on a buff-heavy class and an evade reduction instead of a hit buff, so if people are evade overbuffed (which happens a lot and is very easy to do) you're basically not getting any hit rate.

I would propose that it's either changed to a proper hit buff so that it has more usefulness, or extend its duration to 5 rounds if it has to remain an evade reduction.

Wow it's been forever since I've made one of these threads.

Another Friggin' Mech App - Height, Adornment, and Ability Request
Posted by: the REAL Minos Prime - 04-19-2025, 05:35 AM - Forum: Character Applications - Replies (4)

Applicable BYOND Key - The mom sexer

Character Name - Enforcer Unit G, also known as "Eugene"

Request Type - A height and special adornments for a Meiaquarise mechanation.

Request Details - A mechanation above the normal height limit that is also exceptionally strong and tough, whilst also having a set of adornments resembling nails in its head.

Specific Request - A mechanation that stands at a staggering 8'9, created by Meiaquarise slummers to be the perfect enforcer and bodyguard - being a slow, lumbering robotic giant that enforces the will of its master through brute strength and brute strength alone. Eugene is much stronger and tougher than the vast, vast majority of organics, able to crack bones with his bare hands and at minimum knock your average slummer (note: not your average PC) onto their back in a single punch, whilst being sturdy enough to face-tank weaker blows. However, he is also much slower than most organics. To visualize - for Eugene, to run is about as fast as an organic person jogging, and for Eugene to sprint is about as fast as an organic at a brisk run.

For transparency's sake, I will mention that Eugene would use Mag Agent: Torture from Madness Combat as a playby. I'm aware the original playby doesn't have a mouth; I'd edit that in myself, and edit any FIs or portraits to fit the standard facial requirements for Mechanations.

(Art by Aoki)
Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - I want to make an enforcer and bodyguard that is meant to be a large, intimidating character that is kind of a living weapon. His massive size and strength is not meant to be a 'gotcha' to powergame, but to be a plot hook for other characters; maybe a gang leader wants to keep him around as a trump card to use when someone isn't paying their protection money, or maybe a vigilante or Carabinieri officer wants to take him down in a David-and-Goliath situation, where they defeat a much physically stronger opponent with skill or speed.

The intention with Eugene isn't to powergame; actually calling on his immense strength and toughness would, of course, be entirely consensual, and if a player doesn't want to play ball with a massive wall like that, I'm more than happy to play him as weaker or just default to rolling. The intention behind his strength and toughness is to give other players the either power fantasy of having a massive, strong, immovable goon at their side, or the power fantasy of taking down said massive immovable goon by skill, speed, precision, or tactics.

Roleplay & Lore supporting your request -

Mechanations already have unnatural strength, represented with their racial innate trait that gives them extra carrying weight.

Mechanations are robots. You could probably build one to be even stronger than a standard, factory-issue Mechanation.

Strength builds are already described as being superhuman in their strength by the old lore TXT.

Quote:- (How would someone with 60 STR equate to a real life person?) 60 base strength would be quite strong, capable of extreme feats of power. You wouldn't be like the Hulk or Superman, able to throw cars, punch through solid stone, or anything like that, but you could probably toss a carriage over by yourself, or carry a bear carcass by yourself with a little effort.
