Can pray's bonus effect for creating a sanctuary not overwrite your current sanctuary (a max size sanctuary will get overwritten by pray's smaller sanctuary)
Can Pray's bonus effect for smiting enemies with divine light(25 light damage) not remove pacifist boon? Its a huge risk

So, as many of you know due to much appreciated assistance with the matter, someone in the community has been doing something highly unacceptable.
In case the reader doesn't want to see all of the details, here's the short version- look up your characters in a search engine, as it's possible they've been directly lifted elsewhere.
Now, the longer, and frankly creepier version. I was informed last night of a Victoria Rockwell out there on a roleplay site, which I will not name in this post due to highly explicit content, but will PM if asked in the case that someone wishes to check for their characters there. Safe to say, this was not me. Now, this wasn't simply using the same name, but a direct copy. They'd quite literally taken the time to write out Vicky's description word for word, and look for her original, unedited images. Without going into detail on this next part, certain parts of the profile indicated personal knowledge of my mannerisms, and showed they weren't afraid to broadcast that.
Whilst some of this indicates that this was likely personally targeted at me, I feel as though it's very important that the rest of you know, for your own safety.
When this person was confronted, they disappeared fast. This may have stopped, but I can't be sure.
Thank you again to everyone who assisted me with this last night. I couldn't have made as much progress without you all. By far.
Please, go take a look to see if any of you have been targeted also, everyone. Stay safe.

While I don't particularly like the current system, adding a "oh you get your hand cut off" sentence isn't exactly ideal either. Both systems are negative in their own right, and putting it in stone that "Oh you keep attempting theft? We just cut both of your hands off" isn't exactly the best in the way of RP. Nor is it really fun/fair to RP for the person afflicted. If a character is a thief and is caught stealing numerous times, the immediate answer shouldn't be so medieval. So I'm not really down for either of these.
I'd prefer if minor crimes didn't stack against you. So if you have been arrested for, say, 3 major crimes before, and go in for a minor crime ( I don't know, maybe threatening to pummel someone's face in ), you wouldn't get the entirety of your Major crimes added to it. If you committed a Major crime after wards-- here I'll just make it simple by listing.
3 Previous Major Crimes
Commit 1 Minor Crime
Time Spent in Jail; 1 Minor Crime.
3 Previous Major Crimes
1 Minor Crime
Commit Major Crime
Time spent in Jail; 4 Major Crimes.
Basically, have categories stack, but not with eachother. So committing a lot of major crimes means your next major severely gets you screwed over, but committing a minor crime won't put you in jail for 5 years ic because you stole from a dude, or told him that you'd beat him down.
Got any thoughts? Shoot em.

On Sentences |

As per the Imprisonment topic, I've been told that the current way that sentences are handled (See: additive sentences, where all crimes on record stack up for the total sentence, with no real limit on how long it can last) is either unfair or too debilitating. Bear in mind, I am not thinking of modifying this system, as I feel like it's suitably punishing according to how many crimes the accused have committed.
However, if a majority believes that we should look towards a different kind of system, I have an idea in mind. Here's an early draft:
Quote:Crippling Punishment System
This sentencing system will normally work like the Additive Punishment System; crimes will be divided into three groups based on intensity, with sentences taking much less time than normal. This can be achieved by either removing the wholly additive nature (I.e. making previous offenses only add 10 mins/1 hour for each minor/major respectively) or decreasing the time served for each charge (I.e. Minors only take 1 OOC hour and Majors only take 8 OOC hours).
However, for particularly repeating offenders (and anyone who commits Severes), alongside their sentence, their character will receive a Disability; or in other words, the character will accept a change that involves the loss of some limb, function or ability. The details on these Disabilities are as follows:
-The disability inflicted is proportionate to the particular crime(s). For instance, if you were caught stealing too many times, one of your hands would be cut off.
-While ideally this would be represented via RP, If Dev is able (and finds the time/will/choice) to do it, this can be represented through the system.
-If you receive a disability, you are required to RP it. Trying to weasel your way out of it or fix it (without explicit GM approval) will be treated as Godmodding and will be punished accordly.
-All Disabilities will be ICly given in a manner that keeps any particular qualities (such as Vampirism and its immortality) from fixing it.
-Disabilities will be determined by GMs only.
Of course, I personally believe that most aren't exactly keen on having their character crippled when they get arrested for certain things. However, if I see that enough people would like to have this system over the current one, we can give it a shot. It is also possible to add on an option of 'I'll just cripple my character instead of serving a long time in Prison'.... Again, if people want it.
If you feel like none of the options presented are good ideas, then I would implore you to provide an alternative system in a different topic. Just know that in that case, I'll be the judge on whether or not I'll take it.

A poster has been put up alongside the previous one stating some things!
Quote:Greetings from the Dormeho Battle Arena. I will be starting a ranking system soon enough of fights that are 'sanctioned' by the Law, as well as by myself. Whether it be in my Arena, or at the Badlands Arena, so long as both parties agree to a 'ranked' match, there will be a rating system. Each person starts at 1500 points. Losing points upon defeat, but gaining points upon winning. Defeating someone with a higher 'score' than you will cause a large gain/loss for the parties involved. Losing to someone with a higher score won't be too terribly impactful on either of your scores. I wish to see, truly, who is the strongest in Sigrogana!
OOC NOTE: No fighting your alts; scrublords.

I think that PvE in general becomes infinitely riskless and dull once you hit 60 and you're just grinding for 10*s and rare enchantments whenever you go out to a dungeon. I don't think that monsters should be able to perma-kill anyone, but I think that a couple of changes/implementations would make dungeoneering a lot more fun.
- Add more monsters! (I'm a horrible pixel artist but I would try to contribute if Dev said that the only thing stopping this was a lack of icons)
- Increase the powers/abilities of altered monsters (such as 'Giant Bandit Gunner') so that they aren't so easily destroyed and can actually make someone shit their pants if you encounter one.
- Improve the AI of some of the existing monsters (ie Mad Vine, pls. so underwhelming ): )
- Bandits are actual people and not monsters created by B.D.P. cores, right? Then they shouldn't fight alongside monsters or spawn in B.D.P. areas. Instead, Bandit Dens should just be 2-4 floors of just bandits (and maybe some new stuff like an exotic tiger that one owns) and there shouldn't be a core, but a leader bandit that you can walk up to in order to fight and kill them. These dens, of course, shouldn't spawn as frequently as B.D.P. dungeons.
- ... Add more monsters!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's all I got for now. If anyone wants to give their thoughts on these ideas or offer up their own, shoot!
