Request Details - I would like to request that my Character be a member of the Yut Bloodline.  (With an interest in potentially acquiring Braver down the line. )

The reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - I know that I cannot claim to be from a Major House or Clan without the express approval of Staff. And would like the opportunity to play a member of Clan Yut on a pilgrimage of self-discovery.

Roleplay & Lore supporting your request - Clan Yut is known to have an honorable warrior culture. As my character concept currently stands he would embody their beliefs in mercy, honor, and their respect for Swordsmanship. Also with the mention of them being trusted mercenaries and the like, I believe it would be more than reasonable to claim that my character was born to the bloodline, whether it be by a distant cousin to the current leader and heirs. I would request to be a Cousin of the current clan heir. As I would not be stepping on any toes lorewise. 

(It is confirmed Braver is cared for and protected by the Yut clan, a long term goal of this character is to earn the right to wield it.) (However, I understand if this aspect of the application is rejected. As it is asking quite a lot and there is little lore on the weapon as it stands.)

Not gonna lie, when I was first contacted to review a hibachi I was pretty damn excited. I was like, "Ah shit, HIBACHI!? Man that shit bitchin'!". I used to go to 'em all the damn time back in the day with the boys. Mean streets had a lotta Onigan food places cause o' the Yakuza, and as such, us folks, who occasionally worked with 'em learned to eat the food ourselves too. Hibachi's are some o' the most comfortable shit you can find to eat food in. Big ass hotplate where all the magic happens. A chef you know who knows you back and can talk the shit while they doin' all sortsa fancy-ass cookin' magic, and simply homely dishes that, while it ain't upper crust or some shit like that, fills your gut and makes you go "Damn... I'm stuffed".

So when I came in, saw one damn hotplate, and only one damn employee to boot... hell I was concerned. I wasn't concerned cause it was one each. I was concerned cause the place was big as hell for a local hibachi joint and it was clear that they was understaffed if they ever wanna serve to capacity. Now I know what you saying. They new. They gotta cut costs. They can't expect to serve to capacity. I call bullshit on that. If they was worried about not serving to capacity they shoulda got a smaller building to work with. You employ for the space you intend to fill. This was not it chief.

Guy who served me though, some ginger motherfucker, he was nice enough as it goes. Greeted me, gave me a menu, and I was left to my own devices. Another black mark. The menu don't got prices listed on 'em. That ain't a problem for folks who got money but for folks who eatin' on a budget and just wanna have that cozy hibachi food, this shit's unacceptable. I can't imagine why they didn't put 'em down. It's just strange that they gotta hide that shit when clearly it ain't like the food they servin' is too expensive for most folks.

As for the service... well... let me break it down for you chief.

Ginger guy, he's a good chef. Remembers the order. Gets the food out when you expect it. The food is good. The drank is good. I ate good tonight. Problem is, he don't got what a hibachi needs. That being to skills to conversate with people while he cooking and putting on a show. I can tell. He was a more formally trained kinda guy. That's good for a regular restaurant, not a hibachi. Hibachi's are all about the socialising and performance. Still, he said he was gonna work on that so what I said may not be true anymore by the time you get there. I hope it ain't. I'd much rather you got a real G you can hang with when you eat than someone who peaces out as soon as he gotta make your food. You coulda just gone to a more formal Onigan place if you wanted that shit, and you wouldn't be paying the table fee for the live grill.

Another wasted opportunity in service is a damn piano sitting in the middle of the place. Live music, I love that shit. Tunes make the space. Sad thing is there's nobody to play it. At this point they just got a legit piano sitting there acting as nothing more than one expensive as hell setpiece making all them legit pianists cry at how this beauty's being wasted. Still, if we're being real here, I gotta ask the most legit question of them all.

Did I hate it?
 
Short answer, no, long answer, it's complicated.

Like I said, the food is good, and the decor while sparse do got a nice cozy feel to it. The staff, while he don't talk much, he's polite enough to make the grade. The problem is, this ain't what you looking for when you say... HIBACHI! It's got a long way to go. But while I'm saying that, I do notice that there is jack shit in terms of Hibachi style experiences round in Dormeho, and for folks who're missing that Onigan flair of cooking, this ain't a bad option to go to and hang with your homies. Just don't be expecting the show you're looking for.

Another thing that factors into my decision is that every time I do one've these things I give the owners my report on what they can improve. If they do what i say. Employ more folks, make their hours more consistent and start posting up schedules. Get off their ass and start letting people sample their shit to get the word out, and perhaps most importantly, start accepting reservations, this place might shape up to be one hell of a spot.

Would I unironically reccomend it? Not yet.

Would I say give it a shot and keep your eye on it? Totally.

Request Type - Interpretation of Engineer's bots

Request Details -  Instead of automatized robots, I would instead ask to be able to use marionettes, wooden dolls in their stead. With strings attached to Jesse's fingers and focus channeled through them, they could be moved and jump about like a real puppeteer could do. The insides would have hidden compartments, notably one for a small knife to pop out of a puppet's hand and the other would be for needles to be fired at range for combat purposes (replacing the Engineer Robots gun). One puppet could have a shield (Metalaegis), another pop open a compartment to hand over a healing potion (Medibot), and another could have focus charged through it's mouth to fire off a beam of magic (Railgan). Overall this change is purely cosmetic.

Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - I think it would be fun and a cool idea to do! Outside of combat, they'd even have a big tie-in to his backstory and could frequently be a part of his roleplay, with the marionettes doing dances or interactions with other people and such. They would even have their own identities and could be dressed up in ways.

Roleplay & Lore supporting your request -For the lore it's the same concept as Engineer's bots but probably easier to do as they need no automation, they do not act by themselves, Jesse controls them. And they are perhaps easier to make as well due to that. For the roleplay aspect, Jesse has a facial disfigurement and wears a mask to hide it. As a child they would be shunned by others because of this, most thinking it as creepy, and instead of pushing past this they would become reclusive and escape in their head. Thus they would create their own friends through these dolls that could dance and act and play! They would be his friends instead and give him comfort in lonely times. And as he grew so would they, adding more complex parts and ways of self defense so they could be his protectors without him being in harm's way.

A player who doesn't have a forum account has asked me to post this rune bug for them. In their own words...

"Chronos runes only range-boost the innermost rune in the ring after 4 rounds.  The expected behavior from the desc is that they boost all the attached runes.  This is most easily confirmed visually with a warding rune at the center.  After the chronos is ready the range will expand.  Rush any replacement rune into it and next round the range will decrease since the warding rune is no longer dead center.  I slid in a razor and its range was boosted after but the rock radius went down."

Edit: They also have a couple more they've found.

"Bug 2: Solo turning can't be used when a mob is on the tile since it targets the mob. How to reproduce: 1. have mob stand on your rune. 2. Use solo turning. Part 1 will select but no secondary target pointer pops up. Attempting to use the skill wastes momentum and does nothing afterwards."

"Bug 3: Using rush all only cleans the first direction marker (3x blue squares). If you rush all with multiple runes, the first three blue target-pointer squares will be erased properly, and the rest of them will stay and persist through multiple battles, making it very hard to see where your runes are going in the future."

I firmly believe one (of many) big part of why the tank meta is as prominent is because of strength doing a couple of things for them now.

Its not only their main damage stat, but its also gives them a good chunk of HP.

I suggest taking away the +3 HP per point and shift it around for something else that's benefitting the basic attackers.

0.25-0.5% crit damage 
or flat armor pierce  (or probably better to str/2 armor pierce, it shouldn't be overtuned)

or whatever. We tested HP. I consider the test failed. Strength should not be Both primary damage stat and secondary HP stat.
