Unban Appeal |

Game you were banned from: Sigrogana Legend 2
In-game name (key): PraxisPerson, BulletRebuttal, And more
Reason you were banned: Plagiarism
The length of the ban, if you know: 14 days
Who banned you, if you know: Unknown
Why we should unban you:
I decided to use Goku because it was a collaboration with Joltz and the Torgull family. We both concluded it would fit their playful and easygoing nature. They are a Human character, nor is he a mythical martial artist. While I can understand the reasoning, I was paying homage to the character archetype, rather than blatantly copying them. His name is Hyun Torgull, he is a farmer who grew up in a normal family. His purpose as RP was to be a conduit for new players to have a chipper friend. With combat being a hobby but not an obsession like Goku in the manga, or anime has. Also I am not the first Goku Playby to use Firebird and some form of Martial Artist subclass, but I wanted to use it because it was a combination I had never attempted and wanted to try it because it seemed fun.
I feel as though the ban is too harsh considering that I have not received a warning, or been spoken to by a GM in nearly a year. There are many characters that pay homage to the source material, or expanded upon it. You may ask @joltz#9968 or @Ricky#8409 for a witness of the character conception and of my character, and also for a witness of the RP scenario which led to the ban. Respectively.

Amber Maria - Creation of a specific casting tool |
Posted by: SolAndLuna - 11-02-2020, 02:14 AM - Forum: Approved Characters
- Replies (1)

Applicable BYOND Key - SoulOfLuna
Character Name - Amber Maria
Request Type - Character Ability (Creation of a specific kind of casting tool)
Request Details - This request is for my character, Amber Maria, whether by herself or with the aid of other individuals (whether NPCs or other players), to be capable of making a casting tool, from here on titled "rune bracelets". (In this case, "rune" is effectively just used to describe that it's a bracelet with symbols, generally pertaining to whatever needs to be used for spellcasting, but not necessarily actual runes). Under normal circumstances, they are about as capable as a tome, aside from requiring to get used to the casting tool being on your wrists and them being fairly easy to break. Amber herself also regularly has a second bracelet on, that she makes use of to keep a small collection of spells as well as to make the stealing of spells and the like easier, seeing as she's a Spellthief, though she refrains from handing those out to anyone she doesn't know extremely well.
Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - Using the rune bracelets has already been part of what I'd been doing with my character before for the past couple of years, and while I can't be 100% certain, I believe at least one GM was aware of the bracelets being used, at the very least. I've also had my character make a couple of these bracelets in more recent times, for a couple of characters. I hadn't asked in the past if having those sorts of things made, whether personally or with assistance from NPCs or maybe even other players, is acceptable. Admittedly, I assumed that it would be fine as long as being able to use those kinds of bracelets is okay, and I'm really sorry for not checking beforehand. Essentially, I'm asking about this now to both confirm that the previous cases of this are okay and that any future cases of attempting this is allowed.
Roleplay & Lore supporting your request -
Lore: Based on the equipment in the game already, casting tools aren't limited to tomes. There have been fans, staves, and even actual weapons like swords or axes, that people could make use of to also cast any type of spell, a number of which are craftable in the game. In addition, based on the page regarding Spellthieves in the wiki, spells can be saved in many different fashions, with some of the examples given being cards, paper tags and tattoos. So, the possibility of such an item existing is there, as far as I can tell.
Roleplay: Amber had the bracelets for close to 15 years now ICly, if not longer. As a result of using many different types of magic, albeit though questionable means, she's become quite familiar with magic as a whole, as well as having the time to figure out exactly how the bracelets work, along with keeping a copy of the symbols her own bracelet has at home. Enchanting isn't her strong suit, but she does have a little bit more knowledge of it compared to the average adventurer, and with the amount of time she's spent in various places, she's bound to have at least a few connections to help her if it's too challenging to do by herself regardless.
(No RP logs, apologies. Worst case scenario, I could try to ask people that met the character to help with filling in some of the gaps.)
Note: Should any of this be an issue, I'm more than willing to talk and/or adjust details regarding this request.

Mavis Haemin -- Superior Healing |
Posted by: Blissey - 11-01-2020, 07:40 PM - Forum: Approved Characters
- Replies (2)
|
 |
Applicable BYOND Key - Blissey
Character Name - Mavis Haemin
Request Type - Special Character Ability (Superior Healing)
Request Details - The intention behind this request is to give my character, Mavis Haemin, higher healing capabilities.
Mavis is an extremely devout Mercalan and she has had, for the greater part of her life, unshakeable faith in Mercala. It is through this continued faith, and a veritable three-plus centuries of devotion to her goddess that she has increased her ability to churn out better healing. Due to her age, experience, and general amount of Focus that she has within her body, Mavis would be able to heal things better as a general rule. Such benefits include:
- Regenerating minor limbs and appendages, such as fingers, toes, et cetera without much issue.
- Regenerating minor organs or internal damage, even if nothing is left salvageable.
- Regenerating larger organs, assuming that some of that organ is left behind, and the organ is healed within twenty to thirty minutes (as opposed to the seconds that most priests/healers would have).
- Reattaching amputated limbs with greater success and with a larger window of time (minutes, instead of seconds, as opposed to what most healers/priests would have).
- Greater healing factor and regeneration for the self and others.
- Ability to carry out larger Mercana healing projects as opposed to other priests/healers, due to the sheer amount of Focus within her body, her own experiences, faith in Mercala, and her racial benefit of being an Elf.
- Clearing scarring, whether small or large, through Mercana (although she would seldom do this, if at all, due to the potential of violating the tenets of Mercana), regardless of how much time has passed.
- Greater healing and treatment of Void Poisoning. At stage two, she would be able to prolong the lifespan of someone afflicted with stage two of Void Poisoning, as well as reduce the pulsating lacerations, so long as they refrain from using the Void, and avoid further exposure to it. Further exposure to the Void will result in loss of efficacy. Prolonging their lifespan would never be more than some years (at most ten, at least three), though there is the slight potential and chance that they would live longer (ultimate life expectancy is utterly dependent on the character being healed, and not the healer OOCLY). This is also completely dependent on the afflicted seeking consistent treatment with Mavis herself on a weekly basis. The method Mavis uses to treat stage two more efficiently and with greater results involves not only Mercana, but Aquamancy due to her Elven lineage and knowledge.
All of these abilities are heavily predicated on the assumption that her faith with Mercala does not waver or disappear. In the event that Mavis fails to hold her faith with Mercala, her greater healing abilities would disappear. Although some of it may remain due to her sheer age and experience with the healing arts (as well as being an Elf), much of this rests on how deeply she relies on Mercala.
Furthermore, none of this would have any mechanical benefit or mechanical boost whatsoever. It is strictly roleplay and for flavor.
Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) -
I'm submitting this request because I've had this character for 7+ years. Over 7 years, I've tried to stimulate Mercalan roleplay and tried to provide to the lore of it all. I've also managed to get a minor sect approved, had her ranking in the Church elevated, and I've also sustained an in-character and consistent role as the medical head of Lispool. I've also had other things approved that I cannot publicly disclose, but a GM is more than welcome to inquire on what those things are.
I'm also trying to provide a character to the world that is very good at healing in the event of emergencies where her services would be required, since we currently don't have any that we know of save for The Voice of Mercala.
Having Mavis be better at healing would also increase her overall credibility on matters of healing altogether, and would provide an opportunity for other characters who use healing magic to pursue a mentor of sorts. Mavis has already had various students of healing and Mercana, and she has fostered and created many Mercalans as well.
Roleplay & Lore supporting your request -
Lore Supporting This Request
It's no secret that faith in Mercala is what boosts healing (or to some, faith in general). The more faith one has in a god, the more benefits they should reap. Deeper faith in Mercala would grant the user of Mercana higher power in this regard.
Experience and being an Elf also plays a key factor here. Mavis is well over 300 years old, and she studied alchemy and healing arts back on Mersales for a century before coming to the lands of Sigrogana.
The Void is unpredictable as a rule, but stage one is perfectly curable through Mercalan rituals and means. Stage two is a bit trickier, but it is still treatable via Mercalan means as well. One could also argue that certain esoteric Elven rituals could contribute towards treating stage two, and Mavis being an Elf would help her in healing the Void better.
Roleplay Supporting This Request
For a century while on Mersales, Mavis studied alchemy and the healing arts. Although likely not very similar to how healing works outside of Mersales, her knowledge of these arts are something she has not only kept recorded but also continues to practice to this day -- albeit in a limited fashion. An example of this is her constant usage of Aquamancy when healing others, especially if they are afflicted with the Void -- more so if they are afflicted with Void Poison stage two.
After arriving to the Great Six very early on, Mavis came to live in Oniga and learned of Heaven's Contention. She also learned of Ryart, and how he was saved -- as legends foretell -- by Mercala. She even learned how Mercala was responsible for his ascension to godhood, and this further piqued her interest. As some time went on, Mavis soon grew to learn more about Mercala and quickly became enthralled with the Goddess of Life due to the sheer similarities that Mercala had with a certain other divine being that Elves worship. Since Mavis no longer had her old god to worship, she saw it only fitting to kneel at the feet of a goddess who is not only seen as an ultimate healer of all wounds, but as a peaceful protector -- a being that aligns well with her own outlook and principles.
In the early days of the Church's formation, Mavis was there. It could even be said that she made many important and significant contributions to how the Church is formed to this day (for further details, the GM reviewing this can contact me directly. I have a reason for stating this). And by being with the Church and near the internuncio of Mercala, Mavis only grew more as a person and as a healer.
Throughout her long years, many events that would hone Mavis' healing caliber made themselves evident. These opportunities helped shape her abilities, and many of them had to do with extreme, life-defying injuries or nasty cases of Void Poisoning. Mavis generally took the initiative with such cases due to her status as an Elf, and as a consequence, others generally expected her to do so anyway. Since Elves are a rarity in the Great Six, there was never truly a time when she either wasn't alone in a healing unit, or was one of the very few Elves known of that could push out enough healing magick to save a life. Such events would be the Great War between Oniga and Sigrogana, and other events where many lives were in peril (whether in dungeons, or personal affairs where friends, family, etc. were being torn to bits).
As much faith as Mavis had in Mercala, so too did she harbor hatred for the Void. Much of her life with the Church and her studies revolved not only around spreading awareness of how dangerous the Void was, but also healing and treating it. Mavis spared no desire in wishing to trounce the Void once and for all, so she spent much of her time while studying higher forms of medicine in the Great Six and healing in trying to find a complete remedy for the Void. And although certain Mercalan rituals could cure stage one completely, she ardently strove for eradicating stage two and on altogether. To accomplish this, Mavis made her specialty clear to the Church and her intentions when it came to healing, wishing to dedicate more time to studying and diminishing the Void's influence on the world. Much of her days spent praying for insight and studying led to this, and once Karaten had become the source for safer teleportation, Mavis also sought to study with the famed Majistra family to find better ways to handle the Void altogether.
Decades upon decades would pass, and it only would take so long due to the extremely unpredictable nature of the Void. As these decades passed, Mavis would see much of her efforts bear fruit. Through studying the Void and methods to heal it, naturally this Elf delved deeper into the lessons that the Church and Mercala would teach her regarding healing and medicine. Seeking to end the Void requires continuous study, and through this study and practical application on various patients afflicted with Void Poison did Mavis see her own repertoire and skillset increase manifold throughout her decades active as a healer.
Currently, Mavis presides as a high priestess of Mercala due to her unwavering faith and incredibly long years of service to The Church and Mercala. She also holds the station of Lispool’s chief of medicine and head doctor.
(Since I didn’t foresee an application forum coming, I never saved any of my roleplay logs of healing the void, preaching about Mercala, and all that. All I can provide is this rather lengthy backstory, although this is only a fraction of Mavis’ backstory and all I have been through with her over the near-decade I’ve been writing her).
Notes (please read) -
I am fully willing to negotiate with the GM(s) reviewing this on everything presented, and if further clarification is required, please approach me privately on Discord (Anastasia#0666).

Lumina Ceres - Application for Flight |

[Sorry if this is not quite the kind of detail needed, or if things feel like they're in the wrong place. Aside from the template there were no examples to work from!]
Applicable BYOND Key - Maritime Strategist Apple
Character Name - Lumina Ceres
Request Type - Character Application
Request Details - Would appreciate the opportunity to give this particular character the ability to fly again. (See below for more information) - Pretty much works the same as would with a corbie, but with an upkeep that makes it less practical for just getting her around and more practical for short bursts of combat and just doing it out of comfort to feel like herself again.
Reason why you are making this request - After a whole lot of character development, this flightless bird (A corbie both in IC and Mechanics) should get an IC chance at being able to soar again. She's been practically doing whatever she can to get back what she's lost.
Roleplay & Lore supporting your request -
Lore: For context, this girl is a corbie who lost her natural wings in an accident that left them tattered and worthless. Needless to say, she's lived quite a bit of her life in a state of distress over the implications and how she was treated over it.
Roleplay: Picked up on aeromancy magic in an attempt to find ways to get herself into the air, has hard focused the idea of going airborne again, though has had a time in the arena where she may have let her own trauma get to her in an attempt in a spar. Her lack of wings and how it has made her feel alienated has been a big part of her roleplay, forming the basis of why she used to hide behind her paper mask, even.
Got herself a set of artificial wings made - mostly for appearance and all, to make herself feel closer to what she should have had all along, and now attempts to use them in hopes that they'll help her feel even somewhat close to complete again.
[Unfortunately I don't have RP logs - never expected an application form and I never really collect logs of my characters much. If need be, information can be shared of witnesses to Lumina's IC in such ways to help verify stuff.]

[Black Falcon Sub-Event] Rise of Zero |

EVENT
Hearsay speaks of a panicked, young girl seen escaping from masked men dressed in black in Alstalsia's wilderness. Said to have yellow eyes and white hair, travelers often claim that they witness her when they least expect it, and it is almost always in the middle of her escape. However, most of them seem to mind their own business and avoid getting involved in such things.
"I only want to keep my family safe. I feel sorry for that girl and whatever situation she might be in - but I'm not going to risk my head, I'm afraid."
"I wish I could have helped her... but those guys... they looked so strong."
"What if those guys are bandits? What if you can get all the treasure they've gathered, assuming they ARE bandits?"
"I know you want to be a hero, but you need to be smart too. Don't sink your feet in shady waters."
"D'htran Midarma, my friend. If you do feel interest in investigating the matter, either due to a sense of morality or curiosity, make sure you are ready to deal with whatever may come."
Anyone that looked further into the matter would hear that this frequently happens near some kind of settlement in the Alstalsia wilderness. It may be possible to check it out for whatever reason you may have... if you're ready for what might be there, that is.

Events Requiring Approval (READ ME) |
Posted by: Neus - 10-31-2020, 12:31 AM - Forum: Event Applications
- No Replies
|
 |
This topic should give you an idea if an event you wish to receive help with requires GM permission or not. In general, it is fine to make an application to verify, even if you feel you aren't requesting anything listed below. Note that just because you require approval for these things does not mean you are unlikely to get approved. However, please be aware that if your event is intended to have any of the following, it must receive GM permission beforehand:
World Impacting Events - Events resulting in significant damage to a non-player settlement or area. (Player settlements = things such as player houses. In that case, seek permission from the owner first.)
- Events that take place in areas where the NPCs there (such as guards, etc.) would react actively. (IE, attacking Dormeho would have the guards stationed there react to defend it.)
- Events that could or are intended to result in the severe harm and/or death of an important NPC. (IE, assassinating Elias, the emperor of Sigrogana. Note that for various reasons, certain 'story' NPCs which do not actively participate in the world structure, such as Kinu, cannot be part of an event.)
- Events that would otherwise cause significant change to the world or setting.
Note that even if you receive permission for a world impacting event, things may not play out exactly the way your character envisions. Which is to say that your event will not be railroaded to a specific outcome - what happens will be the result of what occurs during the event itself. Also note that the standard for approval of one of these events is the highest - mainly to ensure that Tannis doesn't get set on fire and Elias doesn't have to fight off assassins every day of the week.
Do not be afraid to pursue these kinds of events, nor stop yourself from doing so just because you feel as if nothing would change. The whole reason this is an option is because we are open to this happening.
Other Events- Events that utilize story elements not represented in the official lore, including powers or places of significance.
- Events that could result in the harm or death of a lesser NPC. (IE, assassinating Doctor Gorri or Alex Richards.)
The standard for non-world impacting events is not as high, but please ensure you have some reason beyond 'I wanna kill them because my character is EVIL and CRAZY'.
---
Once you've received approval, or if your event does not require approval, you may proceed with it as you wish. Please contact an Event Staff (on the forums or Discord) if you require assistance!

This topic is meant to give you a run down for things that require submitting an application on this forum for GM approval. Note that just because something is listed here does not mean that you're unlikely to get approved, or that it is being heavily policed - it is simply to make sure the player base and the GM team is on the same page, as these things can cause problems if left unchecked.
For more information on proper application format and what information you'll need to get approved, please check the main applications forum.
Character Creation Related
The following things require GM approval before you create your character, regardless of race:
- Characters with an age of 13 years or less, or an age of 300 years or more. (This also applies if your character is, for example, a vampire or mechanation who -looks- if they're that young.)
- Characters with a height at or below 4 feet 5 inches, or exceeding 7 feet tall.
- Characters that are part of an established group in lore. (IE, Church Knights, the Agency, Guards.)
- Characters that have a story element which does not have a lore basis or requires clarification. (IE, your character has a curse or magical disease.)
- Obviously, any character concept which defies the character creation limitations defined in the server rules.
Character Ability Related
The following list are examples of things which require GM approval before you are allowed to include it as part of your roleplay. This list is not all inclusive. When in doubt, ask a GM.
- Character abilities or powers not provided to them by their race. (IE, the ability to fly.)
- Excessively unique interpretations of class/item/etc. skills or abilities. (IE, creating a Gundam because you're an Engineer.)
- Creation of things not directly supported by the official lore. (IE, creating undead or other monsters, creating things such as vehicles or advanced devices.)

Application Forum Guidelines & Rules (READ ME) |
Posted by: Neus - 10-31-2020, 12:26 AM - Forum: Applications
- No Replies
|
 |
General Application & Approval Rules
1) All information you are providing related to your request is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and true.
2) You understand that approval of your request only applies to the contents of the request itself, and does not extend beyond that. (For example, being approved to play one tall character does not mean you have approval to play as many tall characters as you want. If the character is 'repurposed' or deleted, you will have to reapply regardless of if the old character had approval.)
2a) If your request relates to some sort of ability or background, you must include ALL DETAILS you want approved. (As an example, if you have an approved request for your character to be able to breathe underwater due to some curse, you are NOT allowed to later decide to add on that 'the curse spreads when I touch someone else' in your RP, without requesting and receiving approval.)
3) You are not permitted to edit your post after approval is received; your post will be moved to an organization 'accepted' forum. If you require additional expansion related to that request, you may ask that a GM return it to the main forum. (However, we ask that you do this sparingly and try to have all of the details of your request finalized. You may also post a new request topic and link the old request thread instead.)
4) You understand that, even if approval is received, it can be revoked at any time if the contents are abused, used to break other RP rules, used in a way to harass others for non-IC reasons, is later judged to be unfit for the lore, to be detrimental to the RP environment or setting, the information you presented was falsified, or any reason in general, as deemed such by a GM or Dev.
5) Until a GM states you have approval for your request, you DO NOT have approval. Do not make a request and proceed to go through with it assuming you will be approved.
5a) Similarly, do not go through with something unapproved in-game and then retroactively make an approval request. While we will be lenient if it seems like a genuine mistake, if the rules were simply blatantly disregarded, your request might be denied as a result.
6) The information posted in these threads is NOT PUBLIC IC KNOWLEDGE UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED OR IMPLIED. Do NOT metagame.
General Posting Ettiquette
1) Please use the format shown in the other sticky when making your request, for organizational purposes and to show that you have read these rules and guidelines entirely.
2) Do not comment on another player's requests unless you are specifically requested to. If you have information that the request may be made in bad faith, please PM one of the GMs privately instead of posting in the topic.
3) Please allow some time for the GMs to go through your request, discuss it privately, and reply. Do not bump your topic, except in one of the following circumstances:
a) It has been more than 1 week since it was posted with no official reply.
b) You are requesting additional approval related to the topic, or an issue arises with your request later.
c) You may reply to GM approval with a 'thank you', etc, of course.
d) If denied, you may reply asking for more details, clarifying something the GM may have misunderstood, etc. (However, if it is clear that the request is denied and cannot be accepted, please do not excessively argue.)
4) A GM will reply, either granting your request approval, asking for more details, or denying your request for a specified reason.
5) Please be respectful of all parties.

Basic Application Format (Read Me) |

Welcome to the applications forum. Please use the specific subforum (and not this main forum) based on the type of request you are making (either character-based, event-based, etc.).
When posting your application, we ask that you follow this basic format:
Applicable BYOND Key -
Character Name -
Request Type -
Request Details -
Specific Request -
Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) -
Roleplay & Lore supporting your request -
Please title your topic something along the lines of '(character name) - Request for (X)'. For example, 'Marlin Margora - Request for Special Height'. As long as we can infer the general nature of your request from the title topic, it's fine. Please avoid confusing or 'jokey' titles, as they interfere with organization.
In the event that your request is not something you want to be known OOCly (for fear of metagaming, etc.) you may post a request topic, and PM the details of your request to a GM, noting which GM you PM'd in your topic. The GM will reply when they can, and the details of the PM will be posted on a private forum (which only can be seen by GMs).
Be sure to also read the other sticky(ies) in this forum before posting.
Specific Request Section
In this section, please be specific with what you're requesting. For example, if your application is in regards to your character flying for 5 minutes at a time, your specific request should be 'Ability to fly for 5 minutes at a time'.
This section is required so that character ability applications do not have their interpretations or limitations stretched.
