Burst Claw [2.18] |

Quote:Burst Claw
8 Power | 85% Accuracy | 0% Critical | 6 Weight | Type: Slash
On Hit: Deals magic Fire damage equal to 50% of your Fire ATK, which ignores armor.
On Hit: Consumes Weapon Charges, dealing 50% more damage per Charge Level.
Potential Skill - Red Raid
Dash forward in a 4 Range line (+1 for every Weapon Charge level). If you encounter an enemy, you grab them and cause an explosion around them, dealing Blunt physical damage to all enemies in a 2 Range circle around them equal to 100% of Burst Claw's SWA, then your Weapon Charge level increases by 1.
90% STR
15% SAN
I have no high ambitions here. I'll be honest with you. From the bottom of my heart, I just wanna grab someone's face and slam it into the dirt and see a big number on my screen. I feel like - maybe - someone else out there might feel the same.
How about instead of Red Raid being used as a way to build weapon charges; it consumes them instead for more damage? Or something along those lines. Right now the bonus you get for building charges being +1 to the range of Red Raid (Along with the usual Charge passive) doesn't feel that signifciant at all; especially when unarmed fighters almost universally have better ways to get to their opponent and do damage for 3 Momentum.

This popup shows up after trying to load any character from this account (Lyn-Chan). It popped up once before mid-game with the third character, during the first phase of the black beast mountain raid after displaying the damage inflicted on the black beast from my burning bracers, and caused the game to freeze, forcing me to restart. After finishing the mountain raid, being given some valentine chocolate, and relogging to fix the screen being too small, it now does this on all three characters, and after a quick check on another account, they all have the problem as well. I've tried both reinstalling byond and clearing the cache to fix the problem, and neither have worked.

Guards of SL2 and where they Handle
When it comes to being a new person on SL2 there are some things people don't tend to know when it comes to law enforcement. When things need reporting in terms of crimes, there are certain guard forces that handle certain areas of the game. I am here to give that information really for those that aren't aware of such information! As a note, Each Guard force currently available is a Guild within the actual game with an Exception of the adjudicators and Karaten at this current moment in time. Please also note that while a guard force may not be present, they're are still NPC guards around.
(OOC note: Not every place has a guard force in place at this moment in time as well as not every city is mapped and those that aren't won't be added to the list to avoid confusion.)
Guards Of Sigrogana
The guards of Sigrogana are a guild that bare a red Guild badge with the name 'Guards of Sigrogana'. Below are the cities that they have Authority to patrol and where they Cover! Often referred to as First Squad.
Cellsvich - The main city where new players start
Tannis - One of the cities attacked by Black Beast randomly
Dormeho - The very Southern town in the Region. Also attacked by Black Beasts randomly
Dormeho does have its own Militia which does have the right to act if the guards cannot act immediately.
Voilegard - A farming town below Darkwood Manor.
Voilegard also has its own Militia who can act if the guards cannot act immediately.
Darkwood Manor - A haunted Manor above the town of Voilegard. NPC's guards are stationed here, don't ignore them.
It's safe to assume that guards are omni-present across the entire Empire. This includes NPC guards. DON'T IGNORE THEM.
Shinsengumi (Onigan Guards)
The guards of Oniga, A.K.A the Shinsengumi, are the pride of the capital city of Gold. They handle all things Oniga.
Oniga - Accessible through the mage guilds that can be found in most cities within the game, this is currently the only town the Shinsengumi patrol at this moment in time.
Knights of Chaturanga (Chataran Guards)
The guards of Chaturanga as the name states really, they patrol the city of chaturanga. They bare the badge with the name 'Knights of Chaturanga' on them. The badge has a black knight chess piece as part of the badge
Chaturanga - A chess town on the region of Kysei. Looks almost like a chessboard if anything. This can also be found in any of the Mage guilds.
The Adjudicators (Alstalsian Guards)
The High Council generally owns most of the land in Alstalsia in one way or anything and makes certain their territory is well-equipped. Alstalsia, the capital city, has the Arbiter, which is essentially the nation's military Commander. He runs a collective of heavily trained enforcers known as the Adjudicators, which is the Alstalsian version of the First Squad. They are not the first squad, however.
Alstalsia - The capital city of Alstalsia, protected by the Arbiter and his Adjudicators.
Karaten Task Force (Karaten Law Enforcment)
Karaten - Mage city in Kysei.
If for whatever reason you need to report something to the guards, feel free to ping the guards in #pingme channel in the public discord which I have linked below in this post. for example @Guards: There's been a bomb threat in Cellsvich! PLEASE NOTE: One guard force does not handle all the regions. Only ask for the guard force who have Juridristion in that area. For example, Onigan guards for Oniga etc. Please note that the guards are not GM's and will only enforce IC actions. You may take this information IC if you want. If there are any questions feel free to throw them in here. Any guard player is free to respond.
Discord Server: https://discord.gg/SvBYGRB This is the SL2 Public discord server in which you can get in contact with the guards and other factions such as the Hospital etc.
Public Listing of the Laws: https://neus-projects.net/forums/showthr...p?tid=5479 This list of laws has been written by a guard player (Thanks Lokus) to fully display the In-game laws, in the empire but you can more than likely assume this is the same for all the other continents.

More ways to clear out smoke |

I think Smoke is a largely unfun mechanic to face when spammed, and given there are only 3 methods of actually clearing it (Cyclone spear, Air Pressure, Tile destruction) its harder to find someone randomly who just has the ability to clear it out and make it less of a nuiscance.
I want to start off by mentioning that Smoke tiles are not a largely broken mechanic, when you have the ability to just print screen things before smoke actually detonates or have a pretty great understanding and awareness of what might be happening around you, you will bumble around in the dark far far less, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.
I think instead of taking away the vision loss mechanic which is largely what makes it unique, we could probably just make do with more ways to actually clear it out.
I think attributing this to wind is thematic enough given that Cyclone Spear and Air Pressure currently can make away with it, but I'd also like to extend this to:
-Air Shafts overwriting Smoke Tiles, removing them when formed, and removing any further ones attempted to be placed within the vicinity.
-Typhur's AoE blowing away Smoke Tiles, giving LB a bit more utility in its kit.
-Piercing Shinken blowing away Smoke Tiles in its path
-Raging Crystal Rose blowing away Smoke Tiles in its path
-Gryphon Wing, a largely under utilized and underpowered summon spell, that could see use blowing away smoke tiles
And thats all I'll mention, any further additions are welcomed but I thought I'd just make this.

Drawing from my post in this thread, I believe Rune Magician is lacking in variety when it comes to offense, and ally-affecting utility. As a result, the class feels predictable and has a lower skill ceiling than it could. Because of how abundant skill points are for the class already, I think a few new runes could greatly benefit Rune Magician.

Higher Rank Invocations |

To be as succinct as possible, I think it would be awesome if some classes got crazy high-rank invocations, such as Evoker.
Making them take forever to actually cast keeps them from ever being a dominant force in PvP, and allows a lot more fun, previously too-powerful effects and general class flare to be added to the game. Let us create black holes, torch the entire map, summon ungodly things, you name it. Even if it took six casts and 300 FP to whip out an S-Rank Invocation, I bet it'd be a hell of a good time.
We've seen a LOT of support for this in the past, so I'll just summarize with this:
I suggest adding Rank B, A, and S invocations to the game.

[v.2.18] Purely Underpowered |

Yep. It's that time. The Balance Thread. The infamous. The one. The only. Pure Power.
![[Image: 0jeozY3.png]](https://i.imgur.com/0jeozY3.png)
Pure Power. A passive that next to no one uses. Why, you might ask? Reading it, it sounds decent. Now let's go over that. Or what I think it, anyway.
NUMBER ONE. YES. OF COURSE. It's pretty underwhelming for the cost of it.
One less slot for +5 Power when maxed. Which costs 5 SP. To really put this into perspective. Let's assume you have 36 SP to use and you're just so happening to run 2 elements. We'll assume Fire and Earth. Yeah.
Let's go over what happens.
Man, all that stuff above sounds good. Right? Yeah. That's just one case, but my point stands. If we give up 5 SPs worth of stuff from that example, all we get is +5 Power. Per EQUIPMENT SLOT LOST. That's right folks. Give up 5 SP and an equipment slot and a slotted skill pool slot for 5(times lacking equipment slots) power on all your spells!
Of course, this does have some meme merit. It's per equipment slot lost. Give up the power of two equipment slots and five SP for... Yes. 10 Power. Which slots would you give up? I wonder. Agile Mechs can get +5 Power if they seek to use Agile Accel. Cool, whatever. But there's just tons of better scaling and more worthwhile stuff, that it's often hard, almost impossible to justify. Even assuming you had nothing equipped but maybe a single tome. That's 5 Equipment Slots gone. +25 Power. Flat Spell Power, might I add.
At what cost...? At what cost...
Especially when you consider that you lose access to an entire equipment slot. So, i'm here to suggest some CHANGES to this underused, meme-tier passive. I'll shorten all the junk up above.
The Good:
I mean. More power for your spells. Flat Spell Power but...power?
Conceptually, it's cool, kinda?
Agile and Raid Mechs (primarily agile) can benefit from this since one of the main things that draws people to them requires the lack of an equipment slot innately.
The BAD:
Costs lots of SP (5 entire SP) for a mediocore or just outright bad effect. Depends on who you ask.
You need to remove an entire equipment slot. Baring Agile Mechs and Raid Mechs, most people can't exactly afford to even remove a single accessory at times.
F l a t S p e l l P o w e r
There's so many better things to get than it that it's severely outclassed and outperformed by the other things that Evoker allows to globally make you more better.
And so. I propose change.
Change Pure Power to the Following Memes:- Instead of Flat Power, make it percentage based.
- Make the skill cost 2 SP instead of 5 SP. 1 SP to get the effect. 2 SP to make it not cost a skill pool slot.
- Make different equipment amounts increase your power more. Accessories and Offhands will be a 5% increase, Feet will be a 10% Increase, Torso will be a 15% Increase. This will make it so that you have to consider the slots you're giving up to maximize output without draining your SP horrifically for an okay bonus. This means if I don't want shoes, due to being an agile mech then i'll get a 10% Damage Increase to all my spells.
- Change Pure Power to only work on Mage and Mage Promo Spells. Otherwise, all spells might get a bit out of hand when combined with this. Greaper works with any damaging invoc (see: Divine Shower) however, so... I'm personally for keeping Pure Power to the Mage Tree though.
Now, that's just my suggestion. I can see some wrong with it, mostly that Agile Mech'll get a free 10% Bonus, but i'm honestly fine with that. It's more to limit others anyway, let racials have their good parts or whatever. Complain about that elsewhere.
With that, I want these OPINIONS. What'cha nerds think? Do any of you even use this god forsaken passive? Would you use it if these changes are implemented? The usual.

Style Seeds. They change what a spell looks like as far as animation goes.
Likewise, why not apply this to normal weapons as well? Basic attacks, special attacks and any skills that perform basics can have a little item that mechanically changes the attack animation of what they look like.
Now, you can argue. Yes. This will fuck up knowing what some builds are or what weapons people are using if they're special in particular. (i.e vorpal fang having changed animation pretty much gives you minimal way to know it's a vorpal fang) but at the same time, concealment exists. So the animation at that point is pretty much the only real way we could know.
So how about it? Who's down for this? I can see how it's a good and bad idea, so I WANT OPINIONS.

Avantgarde Additional Effect |

Avantgarde is that one Legend Journal/Extension bonus that gives you extra outfit slots the more you invest into it. I see people often mock it and say it's only something you take if you literally have nothing else to invest to.
A lot of people like cool moments, and some really like aesthetic. I happen to be both.... so here is an idea I had.
How about making it so Avantgarde also gives you the option to choose an outfit slot you can swap into mid-battle? Like a 0M or toggle skill that changes your icon to that, likely. This wouldn't be anything that empowers a character, but gives it the possibility to add some cool fluff instead.
It would only be one outfit, I imagine. Unless it's somehow possible to choose the one you want to switch into mid-battle, and this would probably make Personal Wardrobes more appealing to grab. Not that they're lame, but I figure it would be a collateral effect in that regard.
What do you think?

Color plz [2.18v] |

For some reason, every now and then, you color from a different character changes to your must recently edited character.
Example: Slot 1 changed to blue, slot 2 changed to yellow (RECENT)
You play on slot 1 and use wemote, you'd find your color being changed to the color of slot 2.
More info on this bug; via the chat setting, if you change the color on slot 2 recently, if you open the chat setting on slot 1, the recent color via slot two remains and force the color change to slot 1.
Example
[*]Load slot 1
[*]Change slot 1 color to something.
[*]Close it, type to ensure it saves.
[*]Log out and switch to slot 2.
[*]Load slot 2
[*]Change slot 2 color to something.
[*]Close it, type to ensure it saves.
[*]Log out and switch to slot 1.
[*]Load slot 1
[*]Open slot 1 chat settings.
[*]Witness as slot 2 color is forced onto slot 1.
This happens regardless of the order.
